For those wanting great views, unrivalled sunsets and the chance to see deer at the bottom of the garden and the odd glow worm or two - Les Avelines is perfect.

Situated on a quiet lane only 2km away from the Bastide town of Eymet (and less than half an hour from Bergerac airport) you will find Les Avelines set on the hillside on the Dordogne and Lot et Garonne borders. Miramont, a typical French market town with a number of supermarkets is a 5 minute drive.

Within the area you can enjoy the atmosphere of the local towns, sample the local produce - the wines,  foie gras, duck and the excellent restaurants (where you pick up a fixed menu with wine for around £10)  whilst passing through some of the beautiful countryside that the area has to offer.

The accommodation: 

Les Avelines, set back from a quiet lane, has large open gardens, a covered terrace at the front of the property and ample parking space. At the side of the property and overlooking the 8 x 4m alarmed pool, there is a covered decked seating area (fenced off from the pool) for the whole party - this provides a wonderful setting for escaping from the heat of sun and for dining alfresco.  The pool is 1.5m deep.  There are sunloungers and a built-in BBQ.  There is also a covered small fish pond - this can be fenced should young children stay.

  

    The house is bright and airy - with large patio doors leading onto the covered terrace from the lounge and the kitchen.
