La Colombiere
3 properties in a spacious complex comprising 10 bedrooms - sleeping up to 27 3 bathrooms and 6 shower rooms La Colombiere is an old farmhouse situated 15km south of Bergerac in the Dordogne. The property is full of character with thick old stonewalls & exposed beams and has been lovingly restored to give spacious, comfortable accommodation for parties up to 26 people (no bunk beds, no bed settees) . It is set in 17 acres of grounds in a small farming community and has the advantage of being peaceful and tranquil but also near to local amenities and facilities. In fact there is as little or as much as one wants to do making it an ideal location for a family holiday. The beauty of this area is the diversity of attractions and things to
do and see. Of course there is the French cuisine to suit all tastes and
pockets, the fine wines with numerous free wine tasting locations. The
very many chateaux are a must for those with historical interest as are
the Bastide towns that are famous in our area. If its taking in the
French ambiance that attracts you, our nearest small town of Eymet
is
ideal. In the centre of this Bastide town you will find a delightful
square full of restaurants, shops and bars where, as well as the
tourists, the locals spend many hours watching the world go by. Also we
have three excellent golf courses nearby (Les Vigiers 10 mins), canoeing
on the River Dropt and several tennis courts only minutes away. However,
if it’s shopping and activity you are looking for Bergerac is our
nearest large town (20 minutes away) which is also a definite must for
visitors. Bergerac has everything to offer with an aqua park, ten-pin
bowling, go carting etc., Its new part is vibrant, colourful and busy
with shops of every description. The old majestic buildings tower above
their shoppers and there is a magnificent fountain in front of the Palais du Justice. The Farmhouse (sleeps 16) 13 beds, 5 bedrooms, 5 shower rooms and 1 bathroom
