Directions to Guillegorce

From the north of France pick up the A10 Auto route south towards Bordeaux.

Once approaching Bordeaux, follow signs onto the Ring Road (Rocade), this applies if you are arriving by plane at Bordeaux Merignac airport.  Once on the Rocade, take the Libourne exit.

Follow signs to Libourne.  After crossing the River Dordogne take the next exit signposted to Bergerac  (D936).

Continue until reaching Pineuilh (which is just south of Ste Foy La Grande).  At the roundabout take the right turning Duras / Marmande (D708). 

Follow this road for about 10 km (6 miles) until you reach Margueron.  At Margueron turn left immediately after the Post Office (was an old garage) and head towards La Sauvetat and Miramont.

Continue on this road towards La Sauvetat (D19 - but shown as the D13 on most maps) for approximately 14 km (9-10 miles).  You will pass by the turnings for Soumensac and Moustier, shortly after about 3km (1-2 miles) slow down, as there is a sign on the left hand side, signposted GUILLEGORCE.  (If you go passed a water tower on your right - you have gone too far!) This leads you down a little lane, which bends around to the left (there is another sign for Guillegorce), continue past a house on the left and the buildings in front of you are the barns of Guillegorce.  It is best to park here and then walk around to the right, down to the Farmhouse, Cottage and beyond to the garden and pool.

From Bergerac Airport come out of the airport N21 - turn right (direction Bergerac) and then at the roundabout follow the D936 Direction Libourne / Bordeaux.  At the next roundabout  follow the D933 direction Mont de Marsan / Eymet and drive for about 15 mins. 

Once you have passed Eymet, continue for about 4 km and take the next main turning on your right - signposted to La Sauvetat du Dropt D19 (Marked as the D13 on most maps). 

Once you have passed through the row of houses, follow the D19 (direction Soumensac) by turning right up the hill by the 'Garage Moderne'(!!!).  After 2.8km you will pass a water-tower (shown as a blue spot on maps) on your left and the road bends to the right.  The first turning on your right once you start to go down hill is signposted (on wood with yellow letters) 'GUILLEGORCE'.  

Follow this lane, bearing left past a little house on your left and you will see the end of a barn in front of you.  Park you car there and walk around to the right, down to the Farmhouse, Cottage and beyond to the garden and pool.
