Carrouze is set in an elevated position within 4 acres with 360 degree views and comprises 2 detached properties and an apartment, each with their own private gardens with un-spoilt views of the surrounding countryside.  Carrouze is in the village of Armillac in the Lot et Garonne, near the Dordogne border  Bergerac is 30 minutes away and Monbazillac about 20 minutes.  Miramont, a small market town with it's weekly Monday morning market and shops, bars and restaurants is a 5 minute drive.

The fenced solar heated salt swimming pool is 'L' shaped - giving privacy for sunbathing when the properties are let separately. (Pool size: "L" shaped 1 leg 10m x 4m, 2nd leg 8m x 4m). It can be floodlit at night - perfect for a midnight swim!  There is a changing room with hot shower & toilet next to the pool - and a fridge and icebox for keeping cool.   For young children there is a 'toddlers pool' with fountain. 

In addition, the owners have provided a sauna, Jacuzzi, sun bed & exercise equipment for the exclusive use of their guests (open every day - day and night).  The owner, an internationally qualified therapist, also offers Aromatherapy, Massage and Beauty treatments upon request.  This is a perfect place to come to be calm and relaxed...

Although each property has it's own, differently aspected garden with own covered terraces for dining al fresco with BBQ's and sun loungers, should occupants of all properties wish to meet, there is a further large garden & an outside covered games area with full size pool table, table tennis, darts, chess, books and other games.  DVD's and indoor games are also provided. ADSL.

***There is a dedicated cyber cafe with computer & desk as well as outlets for laptops in each building***

The Farmhouse (up to 6 bedrooms / 4 bathrooms) 2 kitchens, sofa bed + cots

In summary: 3 double beds, 3 single beds, 2 twin beds (each twin can make a super-king bed), 2 childrens bunks, 3 sofa beds

The centrally heated farmhouse has two kitchens - one inside and one outside on the covered terrace - perfect for BBQ's and enjoying the views over the countryside. The terrace can easily accommodate 24 people wishing to dine together.

Full facilities are included - oven, hob, microwave, 2 fridges, fridge, freezer, dishwasher & washing machine (a tumble dryer is available upon request).

The lounge has a sofa bed and is equipped with satellite TV (UK & French) & CD player & leads onto the terrace. The covered terrace has BBQ and seating for 24.  Gardens surround this property on all sides, including a further outside eating area with garden sun loungers.

Bedrooms: 

On the ground floor there are 3 bedrooms:

Bathroom with additional 2 person Jacuzzi, shower, WC, wash basin & bidet.

Upstairs there are two bed rooms:-

The Annex (optional) - can only be booked as extra accommodation with the farmhouse.

Cherry Trees (2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms- sleeps 4/6) 2 sofa beds + cots

In summary:- 1 double bed, 2 twin (the twin beds can make a super-king bed) plus 2 sofa beds.  There is also the option of adding another single to the twin room upon request.

Cherry Trees cottage

Surrounded by actual cherry trees, the cottage has it's own south facing private terrace with private BBQ, fountain & garden furniture overlooking the countryside.  There is a second fridge and a freezer on the terrace.

There are 2 bedrooms (one with a double, the other twin) each with ensuite shower / WC's.  There is space to add another bed in the twin room upon request.  There are 2 sofa beds in the lounge.

The kitchen has cooker, hob, microwave, fridge & dishwasher & washing machine. There is a satellite TV (UK & French) and CD player and a cosy wood-burning stove.

The apartment - sleeping 4/6 (2 bathrooms) + cots

In summary: - 1 double bed and 2 twin beds (can be made into a "super-king") plus folding bed

The apartment can also be used as additional accommodation with either property with either one or 2 bedrooms (each with an ensuite).

Within the apartment you will find:

Security deposit £250 

Maximum occupancy - 17 in the farmhouse, 6 in Cherry Trees and 6 in the apartment (+ 3 cots)

Use of the PRIVATE Health Suite

Linen, Towels, cots, pushchairs & high chairs are provided & included in the price between 26 June and 28th August

Pets welcome (subject to prior agreement)

Bed linen & Towels can be hired at £10 per person outside of these dates.

The houses will be decorated with seasonal decorations over Christmas and New Year 

Although the English owners live on site, they respect the privacy of their guests at all times.

Babysitting, maid service & use of fax & internet are available.
