Pie Pasquie 5 bedroomed, 3 bathroomed 16th Century country house & private pool with spa (Sleeps10/14+ cots) 3 minutes from large fishing lake Use of health suite & aromatherapy treatments at the owners private house (15 mins away) Pie Pasquie is a 16th Century house surrounded by 6 acres - perfect for a family looking for peace and quiet. The property is situated in the outskirts of a small village called Vares just north of Tonneins (accessible by Bordeaux and Bergerac airports) in the heart of the French countryside. A fishing enthusiasts paradise. Vares offers a local store (selling bread & newspapers) and a bar. The house: Refurbished in 2009. Whilst retaining a number of it's original features including it's original stone staircase has been lovingly brought into the 21st century with a fitted kitchen complete with all integrated appliances including oven, hob, microwave, large fridge / freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
The ground floor is open-plan with a large dining table. The lounge area has UK 'free to view' TV, DVD, video and CD hi-fi. A wood burning stove which compliments the under-floor / central heating. WC. ADSL internet access.

The owners of Pie Pasquie have another property offering hot tub / sauna 15 minutes away. Use of these facilities may be available if the guests at Carrouze haven't asked for exclusivity. Aside from the plentiful vineyards in the region, the area is well known for is productivity of plums and prunes. Nature lovers can enjoy the wildflowers and birds as well as the undulating countryside which is perfect for walking There is golf at Villeneuve Sur Lot Golf & Country Club, an 18-hole championship course, and at Tombeboeuf there is a 9-hole golf course with practice area and a pro shop. Both golf courses have clubs, trolleys and buggies for hire. Agen, apart from its renowned art museum, has Park Walibi, a big amusement park that is always fun for the children. At Clariac there is the Magic Forest, again great fun for the children. The Magique Chaudron is a must for the children. This is an angora goat farm where the children can help to bottle feed the kids at certain times of the year and even help with the milking and cheese making. Further local activities – fishing, boat trips, microlight flying, canoeing, kayaking, leisure lakes, castles, fortified churches, bastide villages, wine tasting, daily markets, evening markets, caves, grottos, potteries and local farms selling their own produce.
This centrally heated property is available for letting all the year. Away from the peak season weeks prices may be negotiable depending upon length of booking and occupancy. Family of the owners live a short distance away and are at hand should you require assistance during your stay. Bed
