The area

Set in the picturesque rolling countryside of the Ste. Foy / Bordeaux wine region, Mauberts is a superbly restored stone house which has been finished and furnished to a high standard. Conveniently located approximately 5 minutes by car from Ste. Foy la Grande, on the Dordogne river – Mauberts is within easy distance of both the heart of the Dordogne valley, with its breathtaking views and its numerous tourist attractions, and in the other direction, the beautiful city of Bordeaux. Just beyond Bordeaux is the fantastic Atlantic coastline, which boasts the highest sand dunes in Europe and some of the best beaches.
Ste. Foy La Grande is a lovely example of a Bastide or Fortified town and boasts an array of excellent restaurants catering for all tastes and pockets. It also hosts a superb bustling and colourful Saturday morning market as well as all the usual amenities; supermarkets, banks etc.
The house itself is set in a peaceful location to the side of a quiet country lane. The front of the house looks onto the swimming pool and open fields and woods beyond. In the immediate surrounding area are acres of vines, trees, rolling fields and sunflowers. The closest Boulangerie is about 2km.

The house

Ground floor - comprising:-

	large kitchen / dining room with large dining table, breakfast bar & imposing fireplace
	kitchen area comprising fridge / freezer, dishwasher, microwave, gas cooker

	Living room with satellite TV ('free to view' UK TV & radio channels), CD player, DVD
	Staircase leading from living room with removable stair gates at the top & bottom of the stairs
	Telephone operated by a phone card (can be purchased at the local post office / Tabac)

First floor - comprising:-

	Large landing with table and chairs
	4 good sized well equipped bedrooms (3 double bedrooms with double beds and 3 single beds in the forth room)
	Bathroom
	Storage room with iron / ironing board

Outside:-

	Wonderful and private 10 x 5m fenced (chlorine) pool (with additional alarm) which can be lit at night - perfect for that midnight swim! The pool has Roman steps at the shallow end. Depth:1.20m shallow end and 1.60m at the deep end.

Mauberts can easily be reached by Bergerac (appx 35 mins) or Bordeaux (appx 1 hr) airports

Low season & long lets possible - price negotiable depending upon length of rental and no. of occupants 1 week rentals - 500 Euros (appx £400) plus fuel and electricity	Please ask for details

The house is centrally heated (gas) and is available for rental all year round - Rates based upon number of occupants and duration of rental.

Bed linen and towels (not beach towels) are included

£150 security deposit

The owner lives in the same hamlet and will be at the house to clean the pool every 2 days.

Clean bed-linen / towels provided on a Saturday for bookings over 1 week

Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday although 10 day bookings may be possible - please ask for details
