The cottage (sleeps 4/6). The properties are situated in the heart of the Cotes de Duras on the Dordogne, Gironde, Lot & Garonne borders. Bergerac is only 30km away and the famous wine making village of Monbazillac is only 20km away. It is set in a private position at the end of a quiet lane and commands lovely views over the surrounding countryside. The cottage is one of two restored holiday homes surrounded by 2 hectares of grounds with a large fenced pool (12m x 6m with roman steps and large terrace) shared between both, making this an ideal location for families with children. The pool can be lit at night - perfect for a midnight swim! The pool has a fantastic large covered terrace which can be lit on an evening. Under the terrace you will find a number of relaxing chairs and a fridge and electricity point.
The pretty cottage is let out with Guillegorce Farmhouse. The cottage has its own dining terrace with BBQ and hardwood dining furniture, with a large lime tree providing shade. This is a beautiful spot for enjoying an evening drink and relaxing with views of the countryside.
The downstairs of the cottage is open-plan. To one corner is a basic kitchen area with a gas hob and fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and small electric oven. The sitting area is spacious and comfortable with an old-fashioned stove and a super fireplace. The dining area provides seating for up to 6 people. There is a TV for the playing of DVD's (there is no external aerial). A modern shower-room / toilet leading from this room. Broadband internet access available. There is an out-house with washing machine.
On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with bunk beds and another double bed on the mezzanine landing which has a curtain surround. An extra single bed can be provided upon request.
The gardens include the use of a 16 foot trampoline (at your own risk!), table tennis and a slide and swings for smaller children. Garden jenga is also available.

The owners live 10 minutes away and speak English, French and Flemish. Cots are available without charge. Baby bath / high chair / pushchairs available. Babysitting available upon request.

Peak Summer Holiday & Christmas weeks include towels (not beach towels) and bed linen, otherwise £10 per person per week. Christmas and New Year bookings - the houses are fully decorated with tree and fairy lights and a welcome pack of wine & local produce provided. Discounts are available for periods of 2 or more weeks out of the peak summer season. All bookings run from Saturday to Saturday. All gas, electricity and water charges included in the rental during peak, high and medium weeks. Different arrangements operate during low season and longer lets.
