Bobie poolside - perfect!

The area: Bobie is situated just over 1km away from the pretty village of Duras in the Lot et Garonne - the heart of France's wine and gastronomic region.  Bobie offers a perfect setting for relaxing, yet has easy access to the weekly market, numerous restaurants, shops and various sporting activities. It is an ideal base for wine tasting in places such as St. Emilion and visiting historic towns such as Eymet, Monsegur, and Bergerac. There are daily markets in this area all year round.  Duras has a fascinating chateau and is well worth a visit. The picturesque village comes alive in the summer, with weekly events such as the wine festival, antiques fairs, night markets and open air music. The wine festival is a must, if only to see the Montgolfier balloons which almost touch the rooftops of the village houses! 

The accommodation: Bobie is a newly renovated farmhouse offering a full range of home comforts:

The lounge also has TV (French and UK 'free to view') and a DVD player.  A CD player is also provided. ADSL Broadband - Wi-Fi access.

Leading from the lounge are 2 doors - one into the main bathroom - with bath, walk-in shower and vanity unit and the other into a small entrance hall and the downstairs WC.

Leading from the kitchen, there is another utility type room - home to an additional freezer and table tennis table. There is an optional gate - to keep "little people" away from the pool.

Upstairs there are 3 tastefully decorated bedrooms - each with a double bed (160cm wide), wardrobe and vanity table and chairs.  The largest room at the end of the building also has a set of bunk beds.  Upon request, there is the possibility of adding another bed into this room should it be required (please refer to the price table below).  There is also a spacious shower room with deluxe shower & vanity unit. Separate WC.

All beds have Latex mattresses with pressed pure cotton bed linen, percale for children.

Outside:

Outside the house you have a secluded terrace with BBQ, dining table, parasol and chairs, sun beds and a paved pool area overlooking the fields and trees beyond.  Perfect for enjoying a chilled glass of wine. The pool is 99.9% private (there's always the slight chance someone could wander across the field at the end of the garden!). The 11 x 5m pool is graduated (shallow and deep end) with entry via Roman Steps. The pool is alarmed and benefits from a salt cleaning system (much better for the skin!).

There is a small pond at the back of the garden - which although normally dry during the summer months may be a source of interest for young children.  This can be fenced off upon request.

Whilst the (English, French & Polish speaking) owners live at the other side of the house, they will respect your privacy at all times, have their own drive and entrance and do not use the pool whilst you are in occupancy. 

Sorry, no dogs - the owners have cats!

Prices: The following prices are based upon an occupancy of up to 8 people.

*Additional occupancy to 10 people charged at an additional £50 per person per week.

Prices per property per week.  All linen & towels (not pool towels) are included.

Changeover day - Saturday.  Wednesday changeovers / 10 day rentals may be possible.
